Added the 6” header box to my transformer sluice to create the base of a small-stream dredge sluice. Let the boys with hose envy have the big water. I enjoy prospecting and working the small NC/SC/GA streams where gold hides from the big hoses. My floating, electric, micro dredge set up works great. Light weight sled base is easily transportable on land or stream. With the right motor it sucks up pay faster than a carp on a dough ball!

Have not used it prospecting yet but have used it in a 36 inch sluice to check the water flow using a 2000 gph pump and am very pleased of how smooth the water flow was down the length of the box!

I was given a dream mat sluice from my parents for Christmas. I ordered this from America, (I live in Australia), and it arrived in less than 2 weeks. Took me a little while to figure out how to secure it. Once I installed it I found it worked a lot better than the original setup I had-a board with a hose clamped to it. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to pan, but doesn't have a nearby creek or heaps of water to spare.

I’m really glad that I bought this header box! I’m not able to get out to the creeks and rivers so this allowed me to turn my Dream Mat sluice into a reciprocating sluice. The header box came with a drill hole jig that shows the exact placement for the screws which are also included with it. The only other thing that I had to buy was a piece of tubing and a sump pump as well as a sluice box stand to use in the trough that I already had on hand. I had tried to rig up homemade alternatives for a header box before but couldn’t get anything to work properly. I wish that I had just bought this to begin with and I would have saved myself a lot of money, time and headaches. The only thing I would do differently is to possibly put a valve on it to adjust the flow rate of the water a bit but it still works fine as it is.

I purchased the header for a 6" Dream Mat sluice with a flare infeed. I thought the header would cover the flare an it does not. This was my mistake or I misunderstood what I read. The construction of the header is robust and solid as compared to some of the 3d printed offerings out there. This header will take some abuse. I like the water connection, at least it is not on the bottom of the header. The rubber sheet is a reasonable way to smooth the water but it could be a smidge wider and maybe a little longer vertically so a larger head of water is built up behind it to help smooth the water.

I emailed and asked about the size of the input and despite asking if it was 1 1/8, which it is, I was told it was 1 1/2 which it isn’t. I ordered it based on that info. I don’t know if the 8” has a larger input cause I can’t trust the info I was given. So I’m stuck with a header that doesn’t do what I need and a week out from heading to the claim
