The dredge mat works well running my cons and black sands. Seems to capture even the flower gold while holding less concentrates. The one downside is its a cut piece so doesnt have the molded edges of the other mats. Took a bit of polyurethane on the edge to get a good tight fit.

The half inch mini dredge mat is simply the best mat technology out there for hobby miners. The capture rate is impressive - flour gold to the big stuff. With the 10x35 bare sluice, you can custom trim, bond and fit your mat into the box allowing you simply dump buckets of classified material and let the box and mat do the rest. The mat is incredible at simulating expanded metal riffle performance, by allowing the material to break up and penetrate into the mat before running out the end. The gold drops from suspension and will sit in the vortexes or pockets. Check it out!

Nice mat, it catches gold like the rest of them, I have the whole collection, this one works great in a faster running creek but still even catches the micro gold no problem! My favorite is still the original micro mat when it is a slower water flow because it has the least amount of cons but still catches the gold!
