This thing is awesome. Makes running and cleaning cons a breeze. The only thing I would change is maybe a bigger pump to increase the flow rate. But overall a great product.

I ran 10lbs paydirt plus some I already had thru the Switchback clean up sluice an it ran great. I recovered 4 grams from say 20 lbs of paydirt I had. Now I need to figure out how to recover the flour/real fine gold, water speed and angle for the dream mat to catch the really fine gold, otherwise I love the switchback clean up sluice. More on Facebook page, I'll ask for advice on angle n water speed.....

Runs great. Love using in my shop when weather does not permit outside time. I accumulated some paydirt to run before freezing. To feed the addiction. Dont really like mail box dirt. It takes away from the hunt of the treasure.

The machine itself works great, the dream Matt seems to be degrading and pitting a little . I think a better material for that needs to be used. But works great. All my recovery is from top Matt, nothing seems to even make it to the lower Matt.

Wanted a clean up sluice to check my hand panned tailings. I had accumulated about 20 lbs and this little tool ran through them very quickly. It recovered about 5-7 small (almost micron) bits that I had missed. Looking forward to using it more often in the future.

I have my switchback cleanup sluice set up in my shed to use for the first time tomorrow. I'm very confident I will love it as I watched a club member (Gold prospectors of Michigan) run his for an hr or so. He said he no longer pans behind it because it gets it all, even the smallest flakes. I viewed 4 other types in action that meeting and the switchback was by far the most impressive. Dream mat products, 5 stars all day long.😊

Works well but there’s room for improvement where the header box attaches to the sluice. The joint is weak and it causes the header to sag. I ran it to recover about 1/3 of a gram then ran the tailings through a blue bowl and only found one speck so it works, just annoying seeing the header sag.

Already owned a sluice box buddy but this new switchback sluice is much more efficient . Effective at recovering even small gold. I prefer a 120 volt pump so use that rather than the 12w pump included with the switchback but it’s nice to have both. Highly recommend buying the switchback!

Yes, it sluices very well! Still trying to find a solution to getting the gold easily from the top sluice! Bottom mat is very flexible no problem with this one! Any tips on getting the top may totally cleaned of gold?!? Very nice product and I hope to show some videos on my clean out results!

Other than the leak around the insertion area this machine has recovered gold from material thought to be clean. Once I can get the water to follow course where it leaks I’ll be able to concentrate on running my cons. Other than that, I’m pleased to be an owner of this machine.

As I’d say I’m neutral on it. I believe it will be much better when I use it more and I get used to it. I found the water distribution and water flow to be lacking in parts but again it’s beginner error I’m sure, once I get used to it and use it more I’m sure it’s going to be great. I don’t want to say it was bad or anything like that because I’m still so new to this. I’ll give a better review once I’ve used it more.

Switchback works just fine. Clean up can get a little messy since the top dream mat does not bend and you have to wash the gold out by splashing water onto the mat when held vertical, so the material falls into a gold pan for final panning.
